The Trailblazer Race

2024 Race

The Friends began this tradition back in 1994 with the very first Trailblazer Race - 2024 will be our 30th year! As a result, we are going to have some fun with this year's race and give it a "90's throwback" theme. We hope that race participants will pull out their best and brightest neon tracksuits and vintage-style running gear on Sunday, September 29th. It's going to be RAD!

Registration is open now with early bird pricing until August 31st.

About the Trailblazer Race

The Trailblazer Race is a morning of fun and healthy activities for the whole family. The 10K & 5K races are scenic, fast and flat running courses heading out into Shoreline Park on the Stevens Creek Trail. The 3-mile round trip Trail Walk heads the opposite direction on the trail and is scenic and level for comfortable walking. Free children’s activities for toddlers to age 10 include: festival area with snacks, exhibits, and prize drawings.

The Trailblazer Race raises community awareness and essential funds allowing us to promote community involvement and pride in the completion, enhancement and enjoyment of trails and wildlife corridors in the Stevens Creek watershed. Increasing public awareness, support, and consensus on trail projects comes first, which is what the Friends does. Your support is greatly appreciated.
