With thanks to all our generous 2020 sponsors who made our very first virtual race event possible: Google, Star One Credit Union, Tori Atwell, Recology, Law Offices of Braid Pezzaglia, Fenwick, The Ameswell Hotel, Honu Wealth Management, Alta, and Extreme Terrain.

Special thanks to Hobee's California Restaurants for their prize drawing gift certificate donation, to Visa for their support of registrations, and to the City of Mountain View for their support and publicity.

Our Major Annual Event

The Friends began this tradition back in 1994 with the very first Trailblazer Race.

The Trailblazer Race is a morning of fun and healthy activities for the whole family. The USATF certified 10K & 5K races are scenic, fast and flat running courses. The 3-mile (5K) round trip Trail Walk into Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge in San Francisco Bay is scenic and level for comfortable walking. Free children's activities for toddlers to age 10 include: festival area with snacks, exhibits, and prize drawings.

The Trailblazer Race raises community awareness and essential funds allowing us to promote community involvement and pride in the completion, enhancement and enjoyment of trails and wildlife corridors in the Stevens Creek watershed. Increasing public awareness, support, and consensus on trail projects comes first, which is what the Friends does. Your support is greatly appreciated.
