In 1989, the city of Mountain View became the first city to take action on realizing the plan for the Stevens Creek Trail when they contracted to have a feasibility study done for building the Stevens Creek Trail. That study was completed and accepted by the city in 1991 and continues to be a guiding document for the trail's development, although follow-on documents have provided further details.
Because the document is rather long, it is presented here in sections small enough to be more easily downloaded, as well as in one large version that could be printed to look much like the original - though the fold out maps would still need to be printed separately.
